Music Makes Us Better

Sultry Jazz & Smoky Blues

Lynda performs at clubs & private events with her Deep Dark Secrets Jazz & Blues band, with whom she recorded her album Forever Torch, and with The Jazz Sisters, a band she formed with fellow vocalist, Ros Kindler. Both bands draw from the rich and varied Toronto live music scene to bring together musicians like Tony Quarrington, Teri Parker, Jordan O'Connor, Carlie Howell, Glen Anderson, Alison Young, Chris Gale, Ian Macgillivray, Amanda Tosoff and Mark Kieswetter.

A Musical Life

Inspired by a childhood full of music with a family full of vocalists and other musicians, Lynda has been singing for as long as she could talk. Her eclectic musical tastes and experiences range from jazz, blues, rock and pop to choral harmonies honed in the choirs of her youth.  She is currently hard at work on her patient experience musical: Not Dead Yet: a Cabaret with Deep Dark Secrets.

The Jazz Sisters

The Jazz Sisters is an exciting combo led by vocalists Ros Kindler and Lynda Covello, featuring three of Canada’s finest jazz musicians: Amanda Tosoff on piano, Carlie Howell on bass, and Alison Young on sax.   An evening of well-loved standards, blues, swing and more, The Jazz Sisters’ collaborative blend of vocal stylings creates a delightful and intimate show.  Duets will happen.

The Jazz Sisters performs at Jazz Bistro in Toronto, November 12, from 7:00 - 9:30 pm.
